About Yoshiko
Yoshiko started her career as a Shiatsu (Japanese traditional massage) therapist while she was attending acupuncture school in Japan. She treated many acute and chronic injury conditions by using Shiatsu massage. This experience greatly contributed to her unique acupuncture treatment style.
Yoshiko studied Japanese acupuncture called meridian therapy under several Japanese master teachers. In traditional Chinese medicine terminology, a meridian is like a body map running through entire the body. Energy and blood in the body are running in meridians. Meridian therapy is regulating this body map to make everything flow smoother.
With her 20 years’ experience of treating a wide variety of injuries and conditions, Yoshiko has developed her own style which is a combination of acupuncture, moxibustion and Shiatsu-massage.
This unique combination of styles elicits a synergistic effect to regulate the body map and integrate the outside and the inside of the body.
She believes the muscular-skeletal system and internal organs system are closely related and affect each other. Her combination of styles is effective to reduce not only tightness and pain but to boost the energy. She is able to treat a huge range of muscular- skeletal problems and internal problems.
